Removal NOTE: This procedure requires the gas fuel tank to be empty. NOTE: Advise the customer to deliver the vehicle with an empty gas fuel tank.

NOTE: Before beginning any work on the LPG/CNG system, make sure the pressure is fully discharged. After service work is completed, a leak test much be performed and any gas leaks repaired. Refer to: Gas Fuel System Pressure Release (310-00C Fuel System - General Information - 1.4L Duratec-16V Flex Fuel (71kW/96PS) – Sigma, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), General Procedures).

NOTICE: Take extra care when handling the component.
Release the fuel system pressure.

NOTICE: Make sure that no components catch.

NOTE: The following steps are only necessary when installing a new component.

Move the fuel tank to a designated safe area and slowly release the remaining fuel pressure.

Installation NOTICE: Make sure that the seal remains correctly located.
NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.
|
1. NOTICE: Make sure that the component paintwork is not damaged. If the fuel tank paintwork is damaged, sand the damaged area to the metal surface, prime and paint.
2. NOTICE: Make sure that the insulator pads are correctly positioned to prevent direct contact with other components.
